Welcome to 20-30 Knots, 5br/4bath sophisticated repurposed container homes rented together and designed for adventure and relaxation. 20 Knots features 2 bedrooms with king-sized beds, 1 bath, expansive decks with a firepit, hammock and daybed, all overlooking breathtaking views. 30 Knots offers 3 bedrooms, king-sized beds, 3 baths, 8 person hot tub retro video games, pub shuffleboard, and spacious decks with firepits, outdoor seating areas, hammocks & complimentary guest storage locker.
20-30 Knots was designed with sustainability and environmental responsibility in mind. The houses were built from single trip shipping containers. 15 kw of solar panels sit on the roof on the property, providing 80-100% of our power. 35 kw batteries ensure you will never be left in a black/brown out (frequent in La Ventana due to the unstable power grid). We recently installed two Rainstick showers, a Time magazine invention of the year for 2024; twice the flow while using 80% less water. A Hydraloop 300 recycles our shower, laundry and bathroom sink water for non potable use as flushing water in toilets and irrigation. We are committed to pursuing a zero carbon footprint to do our part in preserving the natural beauty of La Ventana, a truly special place.
For international and domestic arrivals, San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) International Airport serves as the primary gateway, with a drive of approximately 2 hours via shuttle or rental car under typical traffic conditions. For domestic flights within Mexico and seasonal flights from LAX, La Paz International Airport to El Sargento is a 40 minute car ride.

When booking 20-30 Knots, guests have access to all guests areas. This includes no less than 3 elevated decks with amazing views, two main level decks with fire pits and teak furniture, a large 8 person hot tub, hammocks, day loungers and daybeds. Each home has a gas BBQ. Inside, there is a high speed internet connection for each home with each home having a Starlink internet backup in the event that the main internet experiences an outage (it is rural Mexico, after all). The homes each have an Infinity gaming table, and 30 knots has smart darts, a pub shuffleboard table, retro Golden Tee golf, 4 person Pong, a virtual pinball machine, and a foosball table.
Our team’s goal is to make your stay as comfortable and fun as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create long lasting memories in my homes. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules and confirm that is has been reviewed within 48 hours of booking. This is to ensure that if there is any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest, will have the option of cancelling the booking penalty free as we have a cancellation policy. – Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm please.
– No smoking inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied.
– Please wash your dishes after use.
– PARKING: parking is provided in two places; inside the gate on the north side of the property, and outside of the gate on the Bay side of the property (main road).
-Please return all game accessories (darts, shuffleboard pucks etc) to their rightful places at the end of your stay.
– Feel free to use the barbecue outside. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required.
– Please do not rearrange our furniture.
– If you would like to host an event (i.e. wedding, graduation), please speak with us about your plans at the time of booking.
– If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges.
– In the event of excessive noise reported by neighbors, guests will receive one warning. Should additional excessive noise be reported by neighbors, guests will be asked to leave the property immediately.
